The most popular of MMORPG will soon undergo a total visual lifting… During the annual Blizzcon great mass from Blizzard Entertainment, the content from World of Warcraft’s 3rd extension has been revealed and its seems like a real Cataclysm is about to storm on Azeroth’s land. Indeed this extension will change forever the environment’s current appearance known from 11.5 million users.
While it was hiding from the rest of the world to heal its wounds and burn with hate for Azeroth’s people, the corrupted dragon Deathwing, who was once defeated by other Aspects, is coming back to take his revenge… In a surge of boiling lava, tornado and tsunami, Azeroth’s lands from Kalimdor up to East Kingdoms will be changed forever (many parts will be flooded, Tarides are separated in two by a giant seismic gap…). This Cataclysm will offer an important graphic reshaping in WOW’s world applying to all gamers, whether they bought the new extension or not. The whole will be coming with two new classes (goblins and wolfmen), the opening from an 85th level, new zones and a new job! No precise release date has been given yet, but gamers already rejoice on the many forums dedicated to this extraordinary game…
We love Final Fantasy at Evolution Store to bits! To our great surprise, the Dissidia from Final Fantasy that was announced two years ago by Square Enix is in fact a fight game. Intended to PSP users, this huge cross over is gathering all main characters from the saga in a Dramatic Progressive Action Game, which enables heroes and bad guys of the 12 first episodes to confront each other in a fight game presenting a very interesting and peculiar game play. Released last December in Japan, it should be available in North America from August 25th…
Cleverly mixing the bases of fight games with the ones from RPG, this Final Fantasy is way more complex than it seems. Revealing its potential after at least 20 play hours, the gamer will have to patiently wait before he can see his hero progressing, while choosing wisely which talents and characteristics to apply in order to pass best all levels. With a multitude of different modes that can make the character evolve in different ways, this real tribute to an exceptionally great series will for sure delight fans, who should love to confront in tug of war Clad with Squall, Aerith with Yuna or Sephiroth with Ultimecia.
Developed by Namco studios, Tales of Vesperia will sound familiar to many role players as it is the first game from the « Tales of » series to be coming out on Xbox 360. Japanese have already discovered the game more than a year ago (in august 2008), this time it is the turn of American and European players to have the opportunity to try this cleverly realised role-play. PS3 owners will also be delighted to hear that a Sony version is on its way for 2009, which should moreover include a few additional features.
When watching the pictures and the two videos presented here below, the one thing that catches our sight is the amazingly well made graphics, worth of a Japanese manga. The reason for this stands in one name: Production I.G, in charge of Tales of Vesperia’s animation. Fans of japanimations will surely understand why. As far as the game play is concerned, all battles are playable in real time by four characters of the team that can all be guided by a human player. Gamers will need to be patient before they can use all features as some control details and extra options can only become available after evolving in the tale for a while. Regulars of the saga will quickly find their marks with a system that also adapts to RPG beginners… However the real question remains whether their are still any new gamers to convert to RPG in a world where video gaming is now as common as cinema…
With a wide success from reviews and spectators, the last movie adventures from DC Comic’s Dark Knight have been one of the most awaited release in 2008. We can easily recall the memorable promotional posters from the joker’s wide smile that have largely teased fan’s eagerness. This time, the Gotham City’s Dark Knight is expected in Batman: Arkham Asylum, a videogame in a gloomy and merciless atmosphere where the joker and plenty other bad boys will give a hard time to the guy in a bat suit.
Coming out on Tuesday August 25th on 360, PS3 and PC, the action game developed by Rocksteady studios for Square Enix seems to be the promising game adaptation that all Batman fans were expecting. Until now, Gotham city had no real success as far as video games were concerned. As you can guess, the game will put you into the shoes of Batman, confronted to the threatening Joker, who is locked up in Arkham psychiatric hospital… Last but not least; the Joker will only be playable on the PS3 version of the game… Microsoft gamers might feel a little bitter…
