When I was a kid, during the Christmas season, almost every Disney classics were broadcasted on television. Each years I watched them all because they were part of what made Christmas magic to me.
I grew up and now it’s rare to see these classics on the small screen. This year though, since I work in a collectible warehouse, these memories came back because we’ve received many items representing the characters that enchanted my childhood. So the Christmas magic came back to me after all these years !

Well, that’s the question : Have you ever seen Motoko Kusanagi ? She is the main character from Ghost in the Shell, one of the best anime series (and movies) ever made, might I humbly say !
Ghost in the Shell is a cyberpunk manga created by Masamune Shirow, published for the first time in 1989 in the Young Magazine. After a collected edition and two sequels made a decade later, this manga finally made it’s way to the big screen as a movie, the TV as a serie as well as the console as a game.
The story takes place in “the near future” where cyborgs are common and cybercrimes threatens the world. Depicted as a police thriller, Ghost in the Shell mainly depicts the exploits of Motoko Kusanagi. As a member of the Japanese National Public Safety (known as Section 9), she is specialized in fighting cybercrimes. Being a cyborg herself, she is not immune against the crimes she fight. Could she even be a victim ?
Ghost in the shell’s plot is delicate, complex and will keep you questioning yourself until the last moments. Without spoiling any punches, I can tell you that one of these questions will be : Who truly is Motoko Kusanagi ?
That’s what fascinate me the most about her and make her so popular ! So if you never saw this series(or movies), I strongly recommend them.
