Three Samus for the price of one

Good news for Samus Aran’s fans, the videogame equivalent from Helen Ripley, as their favourite metroid hunter is coming back since last August 24th on Wii with Metroid Prime Trilogy. As suggested in its name, MPT gathers on one DVD all three episodes from the saga Metroid Prime. In a clever mix of action, adventure and FPS, the trilogy Metroid Prime has managed to renew the concept of the Metroid saga pre-32 bits, though well rooted into fans habits. Retro Studio’s work has been great, as changing the gameplay from this much loved Nintendo saga was risky! However the new concept from Metroid’s world has overhauled it without altering the legend…

Gathering Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (Game Cube) and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii) on a single disc without bringing in some new features would have been less advantageous. Hence, in order to justify its commercialization, Nintendo offers an upgrade from the first two episode’s gameplay. Both games coming from Game Cube now benefit from an identical handiness to the Corruption one, growing stronger the immersion into the game’s world.  The compilation will enable the gamer to play with a full screen display (16/9) with Normal or Veteran difficulty, and with many bonuses and artwork that unlock during the evolution of the story! Though this Metroid Trilogy might not be essential for those that already hold all 3 games separately, it is on the other hand vital for those who wish to discover these wonderful videogame gems!
